Research Bulletins of the Faculty of Economic Sciences
No. 27 (2023)Dear Readers
We are pleased to present you the latest issue of the Scientific Journals of the Faculty of Economic Sciences. The issue - as every year - contains articles in the field of economics, finance and management. The authors addressed various issues, analyzing primary and secondary data and presenting the results of empirical research, as well as discussions and criticism of the literature on the subject.
The topics covered in the articles are diverse and refer to the functioning of the labor market, logistics, the educational process, the local economy, tourism, team management and the production process, as well as consumer spending. However, from a subjective perspective, the authors raised issues related to the professional activity of various groups, customer service, tourist activity, and the functioning of local government units, enterprises and households. The spatial scope of the presented research covers primarily Poland at various levels (national, regional and local), as well as the European Union as a whole.
The authors of the articles published in this issue are both experienced scientists and people just gaining scientific experience. These are people associated with our university - employees, PhD students and students, as well as people from outside the university and even from outside the scientific community. Such diversity contributes to a broad perception of the surrounding reality and a comprehensive analysis of emerging problems.
We hope that in the latest issue of the Scientific Journals of the Faculty of Economic Sciences you will find interesting publications that will constitute a basis for scientific discussion.

This combination is very interesting because the problems that affect different generations are changing. And these changes may be observed in the subject matter. Research Bulletins of the Faculty of Economic Sciences
Vol. 1 No. 24 (2020)We are very pleased to offer to you another issue of our Research Journals. This Issue is dominated by the work of young scientists: graduates of our studies. They wrote these papers on their own or in cooperation with their supervisors; we have seven such papers. Tourism and Recreation as well as Economics graduates were particularly active in this respect. The other work is articles by experienced scholars. The combination of youth and experience proved to be particularly interesting; the papers provide a lot of interesting new information.
Among the articles, we may distinguish those that concern our immediate surroundings; we have papers on the local Forest Five sporting initiative, the tourist preferences of the residents of the City of Koszalin or the tourist attractiveness of coastal municipalities in the West Pomerania Province. The paper on the seasonality of unemployment in coastal districts is advanced in methodology. Here, one may read both about a socially important phenomenon and become familiar with a data analysis method. Another paper deals with the labour market; it addresses the problem of the Covid pandemic and the changes it causes in employment and unemployment. The papers on theory are noteworthy; here, we may point to an article on the satisfaction of purchasing needs. A paper on tanatotourism is interesting; this phenomenon is very rarely described in scientific literature. We also have two papers devoted to the importance of macroeconomic factors in the company’s development; they concern the influence of investments and consumption on the development of SMEs and the impact of the exchange rate on the company’s financial results.
The diversity of the papers demonstrates how many problems there are in relation to economics. From household behaviour on the market to public investments, the condition of the labour market or the impact of the pandemic on the economy, the organisation of local tourist events to world tourism. We do hope that you will find here an inspiration for your own research. At the same time, we encourage you to submit papers and to publish articles in our Research Journals.

In this issue, we have published 11 scientific articles that represent various views on economic issues. Here, you can find both theoretical considerations and papers that present the results of empirical research. A part of the studies presented is the joint work of our students who are completing their education at the master's level and their supervisors. We are very pleased with this activity of young researchers. They represent a new perspective on the surrounding world. This is very valuable and allows us to look into the future with optimism. The research presented in the Research Journal deals with the issues of local economy, especially in the northern regions of Poland, such as the spatial diversification of development, the demographic conditions of regional development, diversified financial standing of communes, determinants of demand for tourism products, an evaluation of communes' infrastructure, operations of science and technology parks, or development opportunities for medium sized cities. Furthermore, we may also read about the development of Poland as compared to other European states, and about the security and defensive capability of Poland in the context of international policy. We are also interested in papers that cover general issues connected with an assessment of personnel selection procedures and the effectiveness of the company's operations, or the legitimacy of conducting surveys. This diversity of the subject matter offers to the reader an opportunity to evaluate the work of other researchers, and this may also inspire their own reflections and new creative work. We do hope that the articles published herein will contribute to the development of economic thought. Pod względem merytorycznym, w Zeszycie można wyróżnić dwie części. Pierwsza obejmuje wyniki badań w zakresie uprawy i wykorzystania wierzby (Sali. vim.) interdyscyplinarnie. Część drugą Zeszytu stanowią artykuły o dość zróżnicowanej problematyce tj. turystycznej, rozwoju przedsiębiorczości w MSP, a także problemy metod analiz giełdowych.
