Abstract

Innovative leadership and shaping a change leader in the hotel industry is linked to the modern trend of thinking based on openness and flexibility in managing different generations of employees. The challenge for a leader is managing the youngest employees called Generation Z, who have completely different expectations and are focused on developing their own careers. Their capabilities should be used with the use of modern technologies, flexible working hours and participation in Agile Leadership projects. The aim of the research was to show innovative leadership as a certain pattern, thanks to which it is easier to shape change leaders in the hotel industry. It has been shown that innovation is based on the implementation of changes that take into account the needs and capabilities of the entire team, and an innovative leader is a person who uses the potential of employees, constantly learning and influencing the organizational culture.
