INVESTMENTS IN TRANSPORT IN THE WEST POMERANIAN VOIVODESHIP IN THE ASPECT OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

Abstract

The aim of the article is to present the concept of sustainable transport in the context of strategic documents functioning at the national and regional level and to analyze transport expenditures in the budgets of local governments of the West Pomeranian Voivodship in 2012-2021. The article attempts to answer two research questions: 1) Is transport taken into account by decision-makers at the government and regional level as an important element of sustainable development?; 2) What is the value of budget expenditures that local governments of the West Pomeranian Voivodship spend on transport?
