Abstract

The main aim of the article is to define and assess the state and prospects for the development of tourism in the Koczała commune. The analysis was carried out with the use of the diagnostic survey method based on a questionnaire and an individual IDI (Individual In-depth Interview). The results of the research were summarized using the SWOT analysis with the use of the SWOT-TOWS matrix. The analyzes show that the Koczała commune has potential for the development of tourism. This commune is distinguished by significant natural values. Due to its location, access to lakes, rivers, forest areas, hiking, biking and canoeing routes, it is popular among tourists.
